KUMOBA POND(OLD KARUIZAWA)

Located in Old Karuizawa, this is one of the most scenic spots in Karuizawa. The seasonal scenery reflected on the surface of the water is always scenic,

When it snows, the contrast between the blue sky and the surface of the lake is as beautiful as a painting.

KUMANO KOUTAI SHURINE(Old Usui Karuizawa Pass)

New Year’s Day is a time to visit Kumano Koutai Shrine in hopes of a healthy start to the new year.
This shrine, located on the border of Gunma and Nagano prefectures, is designated as a special shrine in Shinano Province. There are a number of highlights, including a spectacular view of the mountains and a 1,000-year-old shina tree, which is believed to be a sacred tree for good luck and matchmaking.

KARUIZAWA HOTCHI-ICHIBA(Hotchi Area)

A 10-minute drive from the hotel. It is a “food” market that includes a direct sales shop selling agricultural products and processed goods produced in Karuizawa, mainly highland vegetables picked in the morning, a restaurant where you can enjoy dishes using local ingredients, and an event space. The market is always crowded with locals and tourists.
Surrounded by a countryside landscape, the market also offers a panoramic view of Mt.Asama.

KARUIZAWA GLASS STUDIO(Minami Karuizawa)

A 5-minute drive from the hotel. Open throughout the year, even beginners can enjoy glass blowing and candle making.
