We would like to inform you that, in accordance with the introduction of the Nagano & Karuizawa Accommodation Tax System,
an accommodation tax will be applied separately from the room charge for stays on and after June 1, 2026 (Monday).
 
This tax will be used to promote tourism and improve regional infrastructure.
We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation.
 
■ Effective Date
The accommodation tax will apply to stays from June 1, 2026 (Monday) onward.
Please be noted that even if your reservation was made before this date, the tax will still apply to stays on or after June 1, 2026.
 
■ Tax Rate (Per person, per night)
The taxable “room rate” includes the service charge but excludes meals and consumption tax.
 

 
■ Payment
The accommodation tax is charged separately from the room rate and will be collected directly at the hotel.
Guests who made reservations through travel agencies or online booking sites (OTA) may also be required to pay the accommodation tax directly at the hotel.
Please be noted that the tax may be exempted in certain cases, such as for school trips or educational programs,
when specific conditions are met. (A certificate will be required for exemption.)
